“Dear Future Homeowner,
This house was our home for over 13 years and I wanted to share a little about our time here and the wonderful neighborhood you are considering.
When we moved in we had a 2 year old and had recently learned our youngest son was on his way! With two growing boys the front yard of this house was such a blessing. Many games of football, basketball, tag, and sword fights have occured right on the front lawn. Sitting on the front porch, playing with the kids, or working in the flowerbeds I met so many of our neighbors. Sharmel is the type of neigborhood where people are always walking, running, or riding bikes. Everyone waves and many converations are held at the end of the driveways. We are a family of runners and I have logged many late night and early morning miles on my own in Sharmel and Tulakes all while passing other walkers or runners enjoying our quiet, hilly, loops.
We have enjoyed many hours lounging in the shade of the backyard. I love to garden and we quickly started a space for growing vegetables and recently began creating raised beds in the space. I always loved how the light filtered through the leaves in the early morning and enjoyed many cups of coffee enjoyed the peace and quiet while “weeding” in the garden or relaxing on the deck off the master bedroom. In the summer, we loved that the mature trees gave our family a cool place to spend the afternoons and evenings. Shortly after moving in we built a brick patio under the trees that became our favorite Fall hangout around the fire pit. We hope your family will enjoy smores, ghost stories, and family time in this space too! Many cookouts, laughs, and memories were made on the expanded deck!
Our family loves the outdoors but the inside of this home is what we first fell in love with. When we walked in we loved the large windows, all the natural light, and beautiful fireplace. We knew instantly that we would spend many happy hours in that space. The flow of the kitchen, dining room and living room have hosted birthday parties and holiday gatherings that often spilled out onto the deck. Some of my favorite memories are quiet nights by the fire enjoying the cozy space while rain falls outside.
We made so many memories here and absolutely adore this home and all it offers. Our move is bittersweet. We are excited about our new chapter but definitely sad to leave a place that truly feels like home! We will miss our wonderful neighbors, the unique character of this home and many memories made. As we leave this home for our new adventure our fondest wish is for YOU to expereince as much joy here as we have.
