Additional Features
"Dear Home Buyers,
Thank you for viewing our home. There are so many things we love about 2385 Hoody Hudson Rd. For starters, the location… Convenient to I-185 (4 minutes), within 5 to 12 minutes of all Harris County Schools, and a short distance to Dollar General if you are in a bind and need something. Also, many area colleges are not far from this location. In addition, Callaway Gardens is a 20 minute drive.
When we built this home, we planned it to function for each phase of our life with children: from one child to two children… from young children to teenagers to college kids. We love that the house is spacious but not so large that it does not feel cozy. We designed it where we could come together as a family, but go to our own quiet spaces when we need to. We like that the kid’s bedrooms and bath are upstairs and the master is on the main level. The versatility of the rooms is amazing. For instance, we used the dining room as a nursery to avoid walking up the stairs at all hours of the night! It was also across the hall from the downstairs bathroom which made it easy to bathe our baby. We did not miss the dining room as there was plenty of space to eat at the breakfast table and kitchen island. We have also used our bonus room in many ways; as an additional living room, a gym, and now a teen hangout room (and we can close the doors to reduce the noise)! There are options with other rooms in the house as well.
Other things to love are the wall of windows in the open kitchen family room. This allows us to sit in the family room and enjoy the view outside, and to see our children in the backyard if we have to come inside for a few minutes. Also, there are so many places to enjoy the ever so important morning coffee: from the master bedroom looking out the French doors to the wooded backyard, the sitting room with a view of the front yard and creek, lounging in the rocking chair or bed swing (in PJs!) on the front porch listening to nature, or on the back porch admiring the pool. We could not live without the mud/ laundry room....it is a lifesaver! We also appreciate the storage this home provides. In addition, our dog enjoys all the freedom she has with so many acres to roam.
Outside, we enjoy the privacy this home affords, yet wonderful neighbors are nearby. We love being able to play soccer, football, ride ATVs, or go for a run on our very own land. We love that our kids can be loud and scream and they are not disturbing the neighbors! The steel building is pretty amazing. It houses our tractor, ATVs, tools, and it could even be used for your very own CrossFit gym or a possible home business!
We love not having to pack the kids up to find a pool when it’s hot outside. We can just open the back door and jump in our very own salt water pool. The fenced in back yard kept our children contained when they were very young, which kept them safe and kept us from chasing them around!
It truly is a wonderful place to live in so many aspects....location, privacy, perfect size, quality construction, and versatility. There have been nothing but good times had at this home. We love this house more than we did 10 years ago. We are just ready for a new adventure and 2385 Hoody Hudson Rd is ready to love a new family!
Sincerely,
The Johnson Family"
