We purchased this home ten years ago expecting it to be just a starter home for us and to move on after a few years. But the house ended up being a perfect fit, and we have stayed. From the great location to the nice neighborhood, this house has met our needs--and then some.
The North Phenix City location provides easy access to many amenities in both Phenix City and Columbus. And, it is just a short drive to Opelika/Auburn. Our son has been able to participate in sports in Smiths Station and Phenix City. I have a short drive to work in Columbus and my husband is able to easily jump on the highway to get to work in Auburn.
Our neighborhood is definitely one of the biggest selling points. We have the best neighbors. There is a mix of retirees that spend their days at home, along with stay-at-home moms and young families who are all there to look out for one another. If you need a cup of milk or help with a small repair, you can usually count on one of the neighbors. We can leave the house for work or vacations and know they will be on the lookout.
My favorite features of the home are probably the deck and fenced-in backyard. It is very relaxing to sit in the shade in the backyard and watch the kids play or the dog run free. Although it is a larger lot, it is easy to maintain.
We loved this home the day we moved in and we still love all that it has to offer. If we could stay here forever we would, but our circumstances have changed. We really hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!
